Mark Tschanz is an illustrator and painter based in Bern, Switzerland. His main subjects are animals and portraits. In his work he explores the boundaries between fine art and illustration. He specializes in traditional art medias, with a focus on oil painting. He aims to create unique paintings and drawings which leave a lasting impact.

Mark Tschanz was born in Bern, Switzerland. He studied in the Taf (Talentförderungs Klasse) at the Gymnasium Hofwil and the Bern Academy of the Arts (HKB). He graduated from the Lucerne University of applied Science and Arts (HSLU dfk) with a Bachelor degree of Arts in Illustration Nonfiction.

Currently he is working as a freelance illustrator in Bern.
